Megan Photoshoot

My Friend Megan Peets used to attend CHS but not anymore. But we are still friends and she moved to Nevada, but before she went she asked me to take some quick photos of her that were nicer than just your average cellphone picture.

I know some of them are out of focus and the lighting isn’t ideal. But this was just in my home studio which isn’t the best. And we were on a little bit of a crunch time.

  1. Great to see a new post! If your lighting is limited, work with it and go with what is there. One thing that I would like to see is more play with the shadow. You don’t tell us what your lighting setup is so I can’t offer any help there on how to use what you have better.

From looking at the photos though like I said, either try to emphasize the shadows and make them more of the photo- since they are very strong photos, OR figure out a way to diffuse your light so the shadows are not so strong. Be sure to post a link to who your inspiration is!

    • My lighting is a massive studio light that is meant to light a factory art gallery, I got it from the world of art when it closed down. Its huge and gets so hot it burns anything near it. So there is practically no way to diffuse it other than bouncing off walls. Also my white backboard is small and so is the room I was shooting in.
